Asymmetric perfection
The pronounced, decisive, and angled profile of the tabletop is the defining and surprising detail when observing the Coronae table. A sharp, almost graphic line, a modulation of linearity that breaks the symmetry and transforms the table into a living surface capable of creating an ever-changing interaction with both natural and artificial light that refracts across its surface.
The asymmetry of the edge is no accident: it arises from the intersection of two concentric but dissimilar circles, carefully studied by Migliore+Servetto to impart a dynamic motion to the element. A dynamic concept echoed and emphasized in the base, a conical shape culminating in a cylinder.
